Dorothy Stover, formerly of Bradley, WV, died March 21, 2010 at Traditions of Bristol Village, Waverly, OH. She was born June 23, 1914 at Maynor, WV, the daughter of the late Henry Lee and Pearl Davis Dew. Mrs. Stover was a retired Raleigh Co. teacher with 36 years of service in the field of education. She was a charter member of the Bradley Presbyterian Church, Bradley, WV. She was preceded in death by her husband of 70 years, Willis, and brothers Robert and Neil Dew. Survivors include a son, Udy Stover and wife, Judy, of Chillicothe, OH; grandson Brett Stover, of Cincinnati, OH; granddaughter Nancy and husband James, of Kingston, NY; three great-grandchildren, Kate, Jay and Will, of Kingston, NY; a sister, Gay (Bill) Boyle, of Beckley, WV; a nephew, George Dew, of Roswell, GA; and a niece, Helen Bartow, of Annapolis, MD. Funeral services will be held Friday, March 26, 2010 at 2:00 pm at the Tyree Funeral Home, Mt. Hope, WV, with the Rev. Elizabeth Stone officiating. Entombment will follow in Blue Ridge Memorial Gardens Mausoleum, Beckley, WV. Friends may call one hour prior to the service at the funeral home. In lieu of flowers, the family requests memorial contributions be made to the Rev. John R. Glenn Foundation of National Church Residences, 2335 North Bank Dr., Columbus, OH 43220.
