Dorothy Miller

Dorothy Mae Miller, 82, of Chillicothe, died at 5:30am July 30, 2011, in Adena Regional Medical Center following an extended illness. She was born July 22, 1929, in Chillicothe to the late John B. and Dorothy Mae Cottrill Mead. On September 16, 1947, she married Wayne E. Miller, Sr., who preceded her in death on November 28, 1985. Surviving are her children: Wayne E. "Sam" (Joy) Miller, Jr.; Dennis Michael (Windy) Miller, all of Chillicothe; Melissa Mae (Rick) Wolfe, Circleville; grandchildren: Erin (Gerald) Fowler; Sara L. Carroll; Heather (Joey) Seymour; David Wayne Sommers, all of Chillicothe; step-grandchildren Danny L. Boysel; Danielle Smales, both of Columbus; Devan Boysel, Chillicothe; great-grandchildren: Kaitlynn Fowler; Kamerin Fowler; Andrew Carroll; Emily Carroll; Jacob Seymour; Ganon Seymour; 6 step-great-grandchildren; sisters Barbara Stauffer and Diane (Charles) Collins, all of Chillicothe; brother Danny (Jo) Mead, Circleville; and several nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by brothers John, Robert and Glen Mead; and sisters Patricia Blessing, Bonnie Clever and Carolyn Mead. Dorothy retired from General Electric in 1994. She was a member of the Chillicothe Baptist Church. She loved her children and grandchildren dearly. The family would like to recognize the medical staff of Adena Regional Medical Center for the exceptional care given to their mother, especially 2 North, 2 Northeast and Dr. Douglas Folzenlogen. Funeral services will be held at 11:00am Wednesday, August 3, at the Haller Funeral Home with Rev. John Burris officiating. Burial will follow in Twin Twp. Cemetery. Friends may call Tuesday from 2-4 and 6-8pm at Haller Funeral Home and 1 hour prior to the funeral on Wednesday.
