Dorothy Jones

Dorothy Louise Jones, 70, of Chillicothe, left her earthly home to go to her heavenly home at 11:15am on Friday, August 10, 2018 at Traditions of Chillicothe.
She was born August 21, 1947 to the late Ralph and Catherine (Willis) Brown, Sr. On October 14, 1977 she married Douglas L. Jones who survives.
Also surviving is a son, Larry Robinson, Jr., of Chillicothe; a daughter, Larrareina (Waymon) McNeal, of Germantown, WI; four step-children, Jennifer Jones, of Chillicothe, Michelle Jones and Deanna Jones, both of Columbus, and Tracy Jones, of Reynoldsburg; three grandchildren, Zavier Ware, Waymon McNeal III, and Symone McNeal, all of WI; one brother, Kenneth Brown, of Chillicothe; and her faithful canine companion, Spider. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by a daughter, Dr. Tanya Robinson, two brothers, Ralph Brown and Clifford Brown, and three sisters, Charlene Brown, Jacqueline Fyffe, and Christine Bayless.
Dorothy was retired from the State of Ohio as a load limit inspector for the State Highway Patrol. She attended the First Baptist Church in Chillicothe for many years. In her free time, she enjoyed making arts and crafts, especially ceramics.
Dorothy was known for her hearty laugh, beautiful smile, and big heart. She was well thought of by many wonderful friends such as Doug and Sherry Colburn, Mr. and Mrs. James Hougland, Mr. and Mrs. Ron Hurles, Helen George, and her senior center family.
A funeral service will be held at 12:00pm on Tuesday, August 14, 2018 at the First Baptist Church, with Pastor Eric Carson officiating. Friends may join the family for a visitation from 11:00am until the time of the service. In keeping with her wishes, cremation services will follow.
