Dorothy Hatfield

Dorothy Freda Hatfield, 86, of Chillicothe, died 1:20 am, Thursday, April 14, 2016 at Westmoreland Place Nursing Home, following an extended illness. She was born February 16, 1930 in Ashville, OH to the late Freddie and Zelda Butcher Downey. On July 20, 1957 she married John J. Hatfield, who died June 12, 2001. Survivors include her daughters, Edna (Aaron Neff) Felts, of Waverly and Marie Grube, of Chillicothe; five grandsons, Shane Hatfield, Randall Bellaw, Joshua Weaver, John Hatfield and David Grube; and seven great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by a son, Fred Hatfield. Dorothy loved gardening and growing flowers. Funeral services will be held 1:00 pm Saturday at the Haller Funeral Home & Crematory. Burial will follow in Little Mound Cemetery. Friends may call 2 hours prior to the service at Haller's on Saturday.
