Dorothy Davis

Dorothy L. "Lucy" Davis, 74, of Chillicothe, died at 5:18am Wednesday, January 23, 2013, at Heartland of Chillicothe following an extended illness. She was born January 31, 1938, in Chillicothe, to the late James and Gertrude (Bethel) Whiting. On January 27, 1956, she married Jack E. Davis, who survives. Also surviving are her children: Jacquelyn (Dale) Bruce, Chillicothe; Donald (Judy) Davis, Woodbridge, VA; James (Cheri) Davis; Carol Davis, all of Chillicothe; Jennifer "Ginger" (Richard) Harper, Washington C.H., OH; grandchildren: Christopher "Kit" Bruce; Heather (Shawn) Hempsted; Alison Davis; Erin Davis; James Davis, Jr.; Leigha (J.D.) Cooper; Alandra (Chris) Howard; Benaiah "Ben" Harper; great-grandchildren: Landon Coonrod; Logan Moore; Olivia Howard; step-great-grandchildren: Hunter Hempsted and Hayley Cooper; a sister Jeanie Brust, Frankfort; and an aunt Esther Clark, DeLand, FL. Lucy was a member of the Adena Road Church of Christ. Funeral services will be held at 10:30am Saturday, January 26, at the Haller Funeral Home with Jon Creamer officiating. Burial will follow in Floral Hills Memory Gardens. Friends may call Friday from 6-8pm at Haller Funeral Home. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Adena Road Church of Christ, 900 Orange St., Chillicothe.
