Dorothy Clemmons

Dorothy Anne Clemmons, 98, of Chillicothe, died Friday, April 20, 2018, at her home.   She was born November 20, 1919 in Chillicothe to the late Oliver and Grace Ward Bowman. On June 10, 1938 she married Cecil W. Clemmons, who died December 26, 2014. Together they shared 77 years of marriage. Survivors include her sons and daughters-in-law, Tommy (Barbara) Clemmons, of Waverly, Gary (Linda) Clemmons, of Chillicothe, and David (Brenda) Clemmons, of Latham; 15 grandchildren; 34 great-grandchildren; and 9 great-great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death a grandson, MSGT Brad Clemmons; 4 brothers, Ward, Dean, James and Gordie; and 2 sisters, Helen and Maxine.   Mrs. Clemmons was a homemaker and enjoyed flowers, gardening, butterflies, humming birds and owls.   Funeral services will be held 11:00 am Wednesday at the Haller Funeral Home & Crematory, Rick Bridenbaugh officiating. Burial will follow in Floral Hills Memorial Gardens. Friends may call 6-8 pm Tuesday at Haller's.
