Doris Kerry

D. Diane Kerry, 66, of Chillicothe, died Thursday, January 20, 2011, at the Ohio State University Hospitals, as a result of injuries sustained in a house fire. She was born January 29, 1944 in Chillicothe to the late Samuel and Lessie Brown Hinty. In 1961 she married the late Richard Dean Kerry, who preceded her in death. Survivors include two sons, Timothy and Richard Kerry, of Chillicothe; two grandchildren, Timothy "TJ" and Dusty Kerry; two great-grandchildren; a brother, Charles (Kathy) Hinty, of Chillicothe; and several nieces and nephews. Mrs. Kerry loved people and opened her home to several family and non-family members as she helped raise them. She was a former nursing assistant at various nursing homes and private homes around the area. Funeral services will be held 7:00 pm Tuesday at the Haller Funeral Home. Graveside services will be held at the convenience of the family in Greenlawn Cemetery. Friends may call 5-7 pm Tuesday at Haller's. Memorial contributions may be made to the Homeland Credit Union, c/o Charles Hinty, 310 Caldwell St., Chillicothe, OH 45601 to aid with medical and funeral expenses.
