Donna Shreve

Donna Jean Shreve, 84, of Londonderry, OH, passed away peacefully on July 24, 2023. She was born in Lancaster, OH, on June 30, 1939, to the late Homer and Kathryn (Brown) Neff.  On October 22, 1955, she married Thomas E. Shreve, who survives.

Also surviving are their sons William (Lavetta) Shreve, Edward (Karen) Shreve both of Chillicothe, OH, Timothy (Joy) Shreve of Fulshear, TX, and their daughter Tamela Bolte of Londonderry, OH; grandchildren Sarah (Caleb) Graham of Chillicothe, OH, Stephanie Cahill of Londonderry, OH, Ryan Shreve (Lauren Haubeil) of Chillicothe, OH, Justin (Danielle) Shreve of Fulshear, TX, Autumn Bolte (Nick Kennedy) and Jessica Bolte (fiancé Curtis Clary) both of Chillicothe, OH; great grandchildren Ally Graham (John Winn) of Chillicothe, OH, Keela Cahill and Kasen Cahill both of Londonderry, OH and Adeline Shreve of Fulshear, TX; brother Hugh "Rex" Neff of Greenwood, SC, and sisters Mary (Kerry) Lawwill of Cincinnati, OH and Kathy McCarty of Lancaster, OH. Additional family members include sisters-in-law, brothers-in-law, nieces, nephews, and cousins. Also, honorary family members Bob and Alice Purdy and their family, and Maggie. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by a sister Barbara Warren and brothers Albert "Butch" Neff and Richard "Pug" Neff.

Donna was a homemaker for most of her life.  She loved her children, grandchildren and great-grandchildren.  She was known as "Grammy" by most of her grandkids. She spent her life supporting her family in all of their activities including school, sports, band, dance recitals, 4H, etc. You name it, she was always there in the stands cheering them on.  She was a huge fan of the Cincinnati Bengals, Ohio State Football, Cincinnati Reds and NASCAR races. She also served as a Liberty Township Trustee for 4 years from 2000-2003 and supported her community during that time. She was an integral part in the construction of the current fire department building and acquiring the grant necessary to help purchase Tanker 101. She was also a member of the Liberty Township Fire & Rescue Auxiliary. In her younger years she enjoyed camping and fishing with her family, extended family, and special friends.  She also enjoyed hunting, snowmobile riding, playing euchre and other card/board games with family and friends. In her later years you could find her outside doing yard work or zooming through the yard on the mower.  She loved spending time at their farm in West Virginia.  She would either be watching the deer at the feeder or spending time with the friends she made there. She was loved by many and will be greatly missed.

During the months preceding her death, she was surrounded by the love and support of family and friends.  Her husband of 67 years never left her side the weeks prior to her death and was her constant and loving caregiver until the end.

A Memorial Service will be held at the Londonderry Community Methodist Church in Londonderry, OH, at 12:00 pm on August 26, 2023.  A Celebration of Life will also be held at the Liberty Township Fire Department following the Memorial Service, until 4:00 pm, where friends and family can continue to gather and celebrate the love and life of Donna.  Memorial contributions may be made to either the church, or the fire department in her honor.
