Donna Ebert

Donna Jean Ebert, 93, of Chillicothe, died unexpectedly, 7:34 pm, Sunday, January 8, 2017, at the Adena Regional Medical Center.   She was born June 6, 1923 in Chillicothe to the late Wayne W. and Olma C. Streitenberger Gallagher. On February 16, 1946 she married Gordon C. Ebert Jr., who died September 8, 1992. Survivors include a son, Gregory A. (Donna L) Ebert, Chillicothe; several grandchildren; step-grandchildren, Mike and Shelly Causey; step-great-grandchildren, Colt and Cadee; and several nieces and nephews, including a special niece, Ann Gallagher. She was preceded in death by her husband; a son, Steven Ebert; a grandson, Jeffrey S. Ebert; and a brother Robert Gallagher.   Mrs. Ebert retired from the Adena Mansion and Gardens as an educational interpreter. She attended Trinity United Methodist Church, was a member of the Mead Retirees and the Nathaniel Massie Chapter of the D.A.R. She volunteered at the Adena Regional Medical Center, the Cancer Shoppe, the Salvation Army, and the Tourism Caboose.   Funeral services will be held 1:00 pm Wednesday at the Haller Funeral Home & Crematory. Burial will follow in Grandview Cemetery. Friends may call 11-1 Wednesday at Haller's. Memorial contributions may be made to the Arthritis Foundation, PO Box 3216, Dublin, OH 43016-0101.
