Donna Adkins

Donna Ruth Adkins, 97, of Chillicothe, passed away 1:28 pm, Saturday, December 15, 2018, at Westmoreland Place Nursing Home.   She was born January 17, 1921 in Seaman, OH to the late Robert and Audrey Goodman Taylor. On July 29, 1939 she married Ralph B. Adkins, who died April 20, 1990. Survivors include three children, Janice L. (Ronald, deceased) Lytle, Chillicothe, Ralph E. "Ed" (Pam) Adkins, Dublin, and Elizabeth L. "Libby" (Teddy) Brown, Xenia; 14 grandchildren; 31 great-grandchildren; 5 great-great-grandchildren; a sister, Shirley Taylor, Chillicothe; special best friends, Betty Harris, Don Newman and Jim and Sandy Chambers; as well as several nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by 5 brothers, Herbert, Jack, Archie Raymond, Harold, and John "George"; and a sister, Myrtle.   Mrs. Adkins worked for the US Shoe Company for 33 years. She was a member of Mt. Carmel United Methodist Church, the Centralia Band Mothers, the Elmdale Grange, and the Springfield Twp. Fire Department, Ladies Auxiliary.   Funeral services will be held 1:00 pm Wednesday at the Haller Funeral Home & Crematory, Pastor Steve Thornhill officiating. Burial will follow in Mt. Carmel Cemetery. Friends may call 11-1:00 Wednesday at Haller's.
