Donald Spencer

Donald Leroy Spencer, 64, of Wheelersburg, OH, died at 3:00am Wednesday, February 15, 2006, in his home. He was born September 19, 1941, in Chillicothe, to the late Henry B. and Bessie Woodruff Spencer. In October 1968, he married the former Virginia Rosalee Short, who survives. Also surviving are his daughter Belinda K. Hughes; grandchildren Tyler Hughes, Christian Hughes, Justin Howard, all of Wheelersburg; brothers Joseph Payne, Columbus; Robert Spencer, Chillicothe; Howard Spencer, Laurelville; Jerry Spencer, Chillicothe; Paul Spencer, Chillicothe; and a sister Betty Kopp, Lorain, OH. He was predeceased by brothers James, Eugene, and Charles Spencer; and sisters Emily Seymour, Rosamay Bethel, and Mary Conaway. Mr. Spencer worked as a welder for M & J Welding. He was a US Army and Marine Corps Vietnam Veteran. Funeral services will be held at Noon Friday, February 17, at the Haller Funeral Home, with Rev. Howard Spencer officiating. Military graveside services conducted by the Ross Co. Veteran Honor Guard will follow in Mt. Pleasant Cemetery, Kingston. Friends may call from 6-8pm Thursday at Haller Funeral Home.
