Donald Schinkle

Donald Charles Schinkle passed from this life to the next on January 12th,2021 after a short battle with acute leukemia. He was born on March 5th, 1956 to Donald Charles Schinkle and Martha Herlihy Schinkle.
Don was a veteran of the U.S. Army and a former employee of Union Spring. He was an Eagles and Bengals fan and loved animals, especially dogs. He was kind and gentle and was always willing to help friends and family.
Don is survived by his sister Joan Corzine and her husband Jhan Corzine; his devoted significant other Deb Fournier and her children Brad and Nikki; Brad's son Jace, who considered Don to be his grandfather; special nephew Evan Corzine; and numerous other aunts, nieces, nephews and cousins. He was predeceased by his parents; brother John Daniel Schinkle; sister Theresa Schinkle; another special nephew Holden Corzine and Don's beloved dog Bear.
The family wishes to thank the doctors and caregivers at the James Cancer Center of OSU hospitals and the nurses of National Church Residences hospice care for their compassionate and considerate care for both Don and his family during his last days.
A private service will be held under the direction of the Haller Funeral Home. In lieu of flowers and in consideration of Don's love of animals the family requests that any memorial donations be made to the Ross County Humane Society, 2308 Lick Run Rd., Chillicothe Ohio 45601
