Donald E. Miller, 75, of Chillicothe, went to be with the Lord at 10:10am December 21, 2006, at his residence following an extended illness. He was born December 5, 1931, in Ross Co. to the late Arthur and Nellie Carnes Miller. On May 4, 1954, he married the former Margaret E. Woodruff, who survives. Also surviving are his children: Randy E. and Lorna J. Miller; Kathy E. and Danny J. Carsey; Karen S. and Steve Rigsby; and Mark A. Miller, all of Ross County; 9 grandchildren, including a grandson Michael Rumpel, serving in the Army in Iraq; 6 great-grandchildren; brothers Robert (Frieda) Miller; Earl (Loretta) Miller; and sisters Ruth (Roy) Case and his twin sister Donna Jane Miller. He was predeceased by 9 brothers: Herbert, Lawrence, Harold, Billy, Charles, Glen, Wayne, Paul, and Arthur Jr.; and 4 sisters: Dorothy, Margaret, Pauline, and Mildred. Donald retired from CHILPACO on June 1, 1991, where he worked in the converting department. He served his country in the Army during the Korean Conflict. He was a member of the Union Local 988 and a former member of the VFW. He enjoyed fishing, swimming, and gardening, especially his rose garden and his tomatoes. Funeral services will be held 1:00pm Saturday at the Haller Funeral Home with Pastor Aaron Satterfield officiating. Military graveside services conducted by the Ross Co. Veteran Honor Guard will follow in Grandview Cemetery. Friends may call from 11:00am until 1:00pm Saturday at Haller Funeral Home.
