Donald "Kevin" Malott, 64, of Frankfort, passed away on Wednesday, October 5, 2022 at Adena Regional Medical Center, following a courageous battle with a brief illness.
He was born December 2, 1957 in Chillicothe, Ohio, son of the late Donald Zane and Roselene Lucille (Stewart) Malott.
He is survived by the love of his life, Darlene Good; two loving children, Amber (Randy) and Andy (Kristin); grandchildren, Kayden, Tanner, Keegan, Tyler, Haylee, Branden, Elishja, Emberlynn, Naomi, Abigale, Dane, and Jackson; two sisters, Rhonda (Robert) and Pamela (Blaine); nieces and nephews, Chad, Amanda, and Blaine (Buddy), special aunts and uncles, Theodore and Judy Rodgers, Wayne and Alice Malott, and Karen and the late Steven Malott.
Kevin was a proud veteran of the United States Air Force. He was a truck driver and enjoyed the sights and being on the road. He loved spending time with his grandkids and watching the Ohio State Buckeyes. He collected antiques and was extremely proud of his music collection. Kevin had two special friends in his life, Lowell "Speedy" Pollock, and Bill Painter. Kevin didn't know a stranger and was loved by all who knew him. He left a gift on this earth by being an organ donor. He will be sorely missed by his family and his yorkie, Rusty.
The family would like to extend their sincere gratitude to the Adena Regional Medical Center ICU, the nurses, and doctors who worked with Kevin in his time of need. Your kindness was exceptional and selfless care captured our families' hearts; you are super heroes in scrubs!
A military graveside service conducted by the Ross County Veterans Honor Guard will be held at 1:00pm on Tuesday, October 11, 2022 in Greenlawn Cemetery at the Veteran's Columbarium.
