Donald Lemley

Donald E. Lemley, 83, of Chillicothe, died Friday, December 28, 2012, in his home following an extended illness. He was born December 26, 1929, in Chillicothe, to the late George C., Sr. and Mahala (Glassco) Lemley. Surviving is his wife, Sally M. (Moye) Lemley; son Alan Lemley, both of Chillicothe; daughters Cheryl Lemley, Columbus; Donna Avery, Canal Winchester; Brenda Lemley, Cincinnati; and Apryl Ashburn (Mark Dewberry), Gahanna; grandchildren: Raymond Pollard, Nikki Pollard; Alan Lemley II; Timothy Wingo; Chantelle Wingo; Jon Anderson; Michael Smith, Jr.; Nakia Smith; Latoya Lemley; Chanice Lemley; Brandon Ward; Julian Ashburn; Apryl Jacoby Ashburn; Timiya Ashburn; several great-grandchildren; 2 great-great-grandchildren; and a sister Nellie Lynch, Gahanna. He was predeceased by a step-son Alvin Pollard; brothers: William Lemley and George Lemley, Jr.; and sisters Lucy Detrick and May McNeal. Mr. Lemley retired from the VA Medical Center where he worked as a nursing assistant. He served his country in the US Air Force. Funeral services will be held at 1:00pm Wednesday, January 2, at the Haller Funeral Home with Pastor Obadiah Harris officiating. Burial will follow in Floral Hills Memory Gardens. Friends may call Wednesday from 11am until 1pm at Haller Funeral Home.
