Donald Lee Cunningham, 73, of Chillicothe, died unexpectedly at 11:15pm Monday, February 6, 2006, in the Veterans Affair Medical Center. He was born March 27, 1932, in Circleville, OH, to Everett W., Sr. and Mary A. (Keyes) Cunningham. On October 30, 1953, he married the former Sarah L. Mickey, who survives. Also surviving are his mother, Mary A. Cunningham, Columbus; daughters Sara L. "Sally" Cunningham; Michele L. "Mickey" Cunningham; son and daughter-in-law Donald L. (Marlene) Cunningham II; grandsons Adrian M. Cunningham, Nicolas R. Cunningham, and Aiden A. Cunningham; great-granddaughter Alysia M. Cunningham, all of Chillicothe; sister Bette Ann Phillips, of Galloway; brother and sister-in-law Everett (Janet) Cunningham, Jr., Phoenix, AZ; a special sister-in-law Julia Brown; and a host of nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by his father and a brother David William Cunningham. Donald belonged to First Baptist Church and attended Quinn Chapel A.M.E. Church. He was a disabled veteran who served his country in the US Marine Corps during the Korean Conflict from 1952-1953. Funeral services will be held 11:00am Friday at the Quinn Chapel A.M.E. Church, 181 W. Main St., with Rev. Acie E. Collins officiating. Burial will follow in Greenlawn Cemetery. Friends may call Thursday from 6-8pm at Haller Funeral Home.
