Don Hairston

D. Fernandez Hairston Don Fernandez Hairston, 59, of Los Angeles, CA, formerly of Chillicothe, died November 12, 2009, at his home, as a result of an apparent heart attack. He was born May 10, 1950 in Chillicothe, to the late Salem G. "Don" and Jacqueline J. Menefee Hairston. Survivors include his children, Jamie Hairston, of Cincinnati, OH and Austin Hairston, of Los Angeles, CA; a sister, Jacqueeta Valentine, of Los Angeles; brothers, Anthony (Gwen) Hairston, of Chillicothe and Fredrick Covington, of Fountain Valley, CA; and nieces and nephews, Stephanie and Anthony Hairston, and Danyell Valentine-Allen. Mr. Hairston was security guard and an actor. He was a member of the Screen Actor's Guild. Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated 12:00 pm Saturday at St. Mary Church, Rev. Lawrence Hummer, Celebrant. Burial will follow in St. Margaret Cemetery. Friends may call 5-8 pm Friday at the Haller Funeral Home, where a wake service will be held at 8:00 pm.
