Dillon Thomas Carroll, 34, of Chillicothe, died unexpectedly August 20, 2023.
He was born June 21, 1989 in Chillicothe. Survivors include his parents, Debra (Miller) and Tony Slutz and Darren Carroll; two children, Gavin and Gunner Carroll; his sister, keeper and protector, Danielle (Robert) Byers, siblings, Dalton (Abby) Slutz, Liz (John) Downing, Tony "Bub" (Renee) Slutz, Ethan (MacKenzie) Carroll, and Kenzie Shanks, all of Chillicothe; the love of his life, Jessica Pope; grandparents, Sylvia Sharp Holloway, Thelma Carroll, Delores Miller, and Howard Holloway; numerous aunts and uncles, including his favorite aunt, Linda Lowe; special great-aunt and uncle, GeGe and Bill Knox; nieces and nephews, Grayson, Gauge, Gentry, Dakota, Dom, Cooper, Emalynn, and Sawyer; numerous cousins; and best friends Mitch and Heather. He was preceded in death by grandparents, Thomas Miller and David Carroll; a special aunt, Lulu; great-grandparents, Ivan and Grace Sharp; an aunt, Marla Carroll; and a cousin Eric Southers.
Dillon worked for the Wabtec Corporation and was a member of the Eagles Aerie 600 and the VFW Post 108. Dillon lived life full throttle, loved without measurers, had a heart of gold, and would give you the shirt off his back. He will be terribly missed by many, and the ones that knew him the best, their live will never be the same without him.
Graveside funeral services will be held 11:00 am Saturday in Greenlawn Cemetery, Rev. Dr. J. Troy Gray officiating. Friends may call 5-7 pm Friday at the Haller Funeral Home & Crematory. The family welcomes friends and family to meet at Haller Funeral Home & Crematory at 10:30 Saturday to take Dillon to his final resting place.
