Dessie Laughlin

Dessie Lou Laughlin, 80, of Chillicothe, died 12:19 pm Saturday, February 6, 2010, in the Adena Regional Medical Center, unexpectedly. She was born June 25, 1929 in Ross Co. to Homer and Ottllee Kipp Leach. On June 6, 1948 she married Donald C. Laughlin, who died January 11, 2007. Survivors include her children, Debi (Gary) Seymour and Doanld C. (Joy) Laughlin II, of Chillicothe; grandchildren, Jerry (Amanda) Seymour, Jaime (David) Strawser; great-grandchildren, Colton, Electa, and Chloe Seymour and Hailee Strawser; 2 brothers, Homer and Clarence Leach, of Chillicothe; and a sister, Coral (Larry) Turner, of Chillicothe. Mrs. Laughlin enjoyed knitting and plastic crafts. Mrs. Laughlin played the organ and was very active at Mt. Carmel United Methodist Church, as long as she was able; where funeral services will be held 1:00 pm Tuesday, Rev. Marty Baker officiating. Burial will follow in Mt. Carmel Cemetery. Friends may call 2 hours prior to the funeral service at the church. Memorial contributions may be made to the church.
