Dennis L. Sturgeon, 71, of Chillicothe, died Wednesday, May 3 , 2023 at The Ohio State University Wexner Medical Center.
He was born March 28, 1952 in Mount Vernon, OH to the late Mary and Jay A. Fyffe. He is survived by son Jamie Sturgeon, daughter Melanie (Mickey) Dunn, grandsons D.J. and Michael Sturgeon, granddaughters, Kirsten Sturgeon, Kelsey and Kylee Dunn and numerous extended family members and friends including Brenda Weaver, who is his ex-wife and mother of his kids
Dennis was a graduate of Southeastern High School, class of 1970. He retired as a team leader from YSK Corporation in 2018 after almost 20 years of service. He was an avid Ohio State Buckeye and Cleveland Browns fan, loved his car and enjoyed spending time with close friends at Zane Tavern. Most of all, he loved his family, especially his kids and grandkids. Once he met you, you were his friend. He had a heart of gold and always seen the best in everybody. To know him was to love him. He will be dearly missed and will leave a deep void in the hearts of all who knew him.
Funeral services will be held 1:00 pm Tuesday at the Haller Funeral Home & Crematory, Pastor Roger Webb officiating. Cremation will follow. The family will receive friends 11:00-1:00 Tuesday at Haller's.
