Denise Ann Queen, 73, passed away Thursday, Nov. 13. Born and raised in Chillicothe, and a graduating member of Chillicothe High School’s class of 1970, Denise was born April 1, 1952, to Jack Hutchison and Marian Thatcher who both proceed her in death.
Denise worked for more than 15 years with the State of Ohio’s Department of Mental Health and ultimately retired from Ross County Job and Family Services, allowing her to spend many winters with family and friends in Okeechobee, Florida, where she also rescued her beloved dog, Milo.
Denise is survived by her sister Pam (Gary) Turley; husband Monte Queen; and son Chad (Katrina) Queen all of Chillicothe, as well as daughter Amanda (Brad) Gambill of Columbus. Her nieces are Shelley (Jack) Schmitt and Carey (Brad) Putnam of Frankfort. Denise’s cherished grandchildren are Hannah Wilson of Chillicothe and Trystan (Cami) Queen of Waverly. Denise is also proud of her five great grandchildren: Myla, Jaya, Lilly, Harley and Oliver.
Family and friends are invited to a Celebration of Life to be held Sunday, Nov. 23, from 2 to 4 p.m. at Haller Funeral Home, 1661 Western Ave., Chillicothe, Ohio, 45601.
