Deloris Bethel

Deloris Yvonne Bethel, 81, of Chillicothe, passed away on Sunday, June 4, 2017, at the Adena Regional Medical Center, following a brief illness. She was born on February 10, 1936, to the late Floyd Albert and Cora Mae (Bishop) Murray. On June 11, 1955, she married William D. Bethel who survives. Also surviving are three children, Pamela Bethel, Karen (Glen "J.R") Leach, and Terry (Cynthia) Bethel, all of Chillicothe; grandchildren, Mindy (Joe) Bennett, Ashley (Charles) Daniel, Lacie (Andrew) Shepherd, Callie (Christopher) Peters, and Shasta (Kyle) Daniel; great-grandchildren, Charlie Phillips, MaKayla Sherwood, Adrionna Phillips, and Grace Peters; three sisters, Betty Maxwell, D. Lorraine Speraw, and Mary Lou Lenegar; a sister-in-law, Clara Murray; as well as numerous nieces, nephews, and special friends. In addition to her parents, Deloris was preceded in death by a daughter, Sheryl (Harry) Daniel, a grandson, Harry Daniel, Jr., her sisters, Doris Dyer and Patricia Murray, and three brothers, Floyd Murray, Jr., Lloyd Murray, and Richard Murray. Deloris was a member of the Seventh-Day Adventist Church in Chillicothe, where she served as deaconess, worked as the Sabbath School Secretary, and helped with the community services. In her free time, she enjoyed gardening, canning, and working in her flower garden. Funeral services will be held at 10:30am on Thursday, June 8, 2017, at the Haller Funeral Home with Pastor Ron Anderson officiating. Burial will follow in Floral Hills Memory Gardens. Calling hours will be held on Wednesday from 5:00-7:00pm at the funeral home. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions can be made to the Seventh-Day Adventist Church in her honor, P.O.
