Delores Madden

Delores S. Madden, 70, of Chillicothe, died at 7:03am Wednesday, November 18, 2009, following a brief illness. She was born December 12, 1938, in Ross Co. to the late Fred M. and Nellie M. Barnhart Wolford. On December 10, 1960, she married Gilbert A. "Gib" Madden, who preceded her in death on November 20, 2008. Surviving are her daughter Rita Madden Haubeil, Chillicothe; grandchildren Christopher Perry; Ean Koch, both of Chillicothe; Adam (Vikki) Koch, Dayton; Ericka (Elias) Ponte, Delaware, OH; numerous great-grandchildren; brothers and sister-in-law Fred (Joyce) Wolford, Columbus; Edgar Wolford, Chillicothe; sisters and brothers-in-law Patty (Carl) Gearhart; Barb (Marion) Earley, all of Chillicothe; and Evonna Armstrong, Columbus; sisters-in-law Beatrice Madden and Patricia Madden Brown, both of Chillicothe. She was predeceased by her son Allan Madden; sisters Betty Richardson, Louise Downs, Loretta Gray; and brothers Willard "Pete" Wolford, Carson Wolford, and Roger Wolford. Delores was a member of Tyler Memorial United Methodist Church and a Chillicothe Lioness. She and Gib had been co-owners of the former Madden TV and she was a retired realtor. Her favorite pastime was quilting. Funeral services will be held at 11:00am Friday, November 20, in the Haller Funeral Home with Rev. James Groves officiating. Burial will follow in Greenlawn Cemetery. Friends may call Thursday from 6-8pm and 1 hour prior to the funeral Friday.
