Delmer Vickers

Delmer "Ron" Vickers, 84, of Kingston, passed away on Monday, November 19, 2018, at the Adena Regional Medical Center, following a brief illness.
He was born on November 13, 1934, in Portsmouth, Ohio to the late Delmer and Hazel (Hill) Vickers.
Surviving is his sister-in-law, Donna Vickers, of Jacksonville, Florida; two half brothers, Don (Debbie) Jester, of Chillicothe, and Rick (Shirley) Jester, of Washington Court House; as well as several nieces and nephews. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by a brother, Paul Vickers, his sisters, Rosemary and Wanda, as well as several aunts and uncles.
Ron was an honorably discharged veteran who served in the United States Army. He went on to work at the Mead Paper Company in Chillicothe for many years before his retirement on December 1, 1996. He was a member of the Eagles 600 Aeries and the Local Union 731. In his free time, he enjoyed going bowling and spending time with his family and friends. He will be greatly missed by all who had the pleasure of knowing him.
Military graveside services conducted by the Ross County Veterans Honor Guard will take place at 1:00pm on Friday, November 30, 2018 at Greenlawn Cemetery.
