Debra Meadows

On May 30, 2014, the day of the beautiful Feast of the Visitation, Deb joined our Lord above in search of Heaven's beaches. She was born Debra Ann Detamore, March 31, 1956, the first daughter of Robert and Jean Detamore. She is preceded in death by her mother Jean. She is survived by her father, Robert Detamore, her husband, Larry, her son, Nick, daughter, Malinda, sisters Mary McNamara (Russ), Sue Householder (Loy) and their families. Deb was a graduate of Bishop Ready High School. She was employed by Mount Carmel Trinity Health and was recently recognized for her 40 years of service. Her career began there as a Candy Striper during high school, leading her to various roles in Health Information Management and Transcription Services. She was an active parishioner at St. Margaret of Cortona for 22 years. Her endless supply of energy and drive were spent working countless Bingo, Fish Fry and Festival events. Her amazing personality allowed her to be an immediate friend to everyone she met. Deb surrounded herself with people, friends, family, coworkers and activities. There was never a task which was too complicated or too time consuming for her, including her 1000 piece puzzles. She had a love for vacations at the beach, gardening, puzzles, family celebrations, holidays, decorations and Christmas trees. She was passionately involved in the hopes, dreams and the making of memories with her son, daughter, niece and nephews. They were her heart and soul. If you met her, she was your friend; she was your sunshine. So was beloved by all who knew her. She will be truly missed. Mass of Christian burial will be celebrated at 11:00am Friday, June 6, at St. Margaret of Cortona, 1600 N. Hague Ave., Columbus, Rev. Jeff Rimelspach, Celebrant. Friends may call from 2-4 & 6-8 Thursday at Schoedinger Funeral Home, Hilltop Chapel, 3030 W. Broad St., Columbus.
