Deborah Whittington

Deborah "Debbie" S. Whittington, 57, of Londonderry, died at 10:50pm Monday, November 29, 2010, at Adena Regional Medical Center following a courageous battle with cancer. She was born August 19, 1953, in Chillicothe to Randall, Jr. and Laura Ankrom Smith. On December 19, 1971, she married Buddy Whittington, who survives. Also surviving are her daughter and son-in-law Melissa (Scott) Carter, of Fairview, TN; sons and daughters-in-law Matthew (Jill) Whittington, Ray, OH; Patrick (Tiffany) Whittington, Chillicothe; grandchildren: Chance and Laura Carter; and Parker and Drake Whittington; her father Randall Smith, Jr., of Londonderry; a sister and brother-in-law Judy (John) Venters, of Londonderry; many aunts, uncles, a nephew and numerous friends. She was predeceased by her mother; a brother-in-law Herman Snyder; and her mother-in-law and father-in-law Orvill and Ollie Mae Whittington. Debbie was a graduate of Southeastern High School, Class of 1971. She had worked at Big Sandy Furniture Store. Funeral services will be held at 11:00am Friday, December 3 in the Haller Funeral Home. Burial will follow in Londonderry Cemetery. Friends may call Thursday from 4-8pm at Haller Funeral Home.
