Deborah Smith

Deborah D. Smith, of Chillicothe, formerly of Ennis, TX, died September 24, 2022, at Adena Regional Medical Center, following an extended illness.  She lived the last 11 months in Chillicothe, but spent 45 years in the Dallas, TX area.   She was born September 11, 1953, in Ross County to the late Bernie Faulkner, Sr. and Margaret C. (Sheets) Faulkner Whitehead.   Surviving are her husband, Stanley Smith; her daughters: Danielle Myrick and Nicole (Michael) Benton; her step-children: Vicky Williams, Mary Armstrong, Patrick Smith and Sarah Smith; grandchildren: Tristan (Azyia), Dylan (Lana), Kaytelynn (Chris) and Andrew; great-grandchildren: Wyatt, Weston and Addalyn; her brothers Terry Faulkner, Bryan Faulkner and Bernie, Jr. "Budd" (Pam) Faulkner; and sisters: Vicki (John) McClaskey, Nancy (Richard) Husted, and Tammy Owens.  She was predeceased by her parents and a brother Jerry Faulkner.   Debbie loved all of her family, especially her children and grandchildren.  She also loved her animals.  She dedicated her life to working with rescue horses and race horses, and took in hundreds of stray cats.   A Celebration of Life will be held Friday, Sept. 30, at 6pm at the Landmark Christian Church, 914 Dayton St., Chillicothe.  The family requests in lieu of flowers, donations be made to the funeral home to assist the family with expenses.
