Deborah Allen

Deborah L. "Debbie" Allen, 60, of Chillicothe, died at 9:55pm November 8, 2012, at Adena Regional Medical Center following a brief illness. She was born September 9, 1952, in Ross County to Robert E. and Bessie (Smith) Acord. On December 26, 2000, she married Warren L. Allen, who survives. Also surviving is her mother, Bessie Acord; sons and daughters-in-law Joe (Heather) Cowman; Bob (Mindy) Cowman; and Steve (Mandy) Cowman; step-son Shaun (Casey) Allen; step-daughter Amanda Allen and her companion Anthony Thomas, all of Chillicothe; 15 grandchildren; sisters Linda (Steve) Jenkins; and Sue Acord, all of Chillicothe; and brother Bob (Cheryl) Acord, Bourneville. She was predeceased by her father, and her son Lowery Cowman. Debbie was a graduate of Unioto High School, Class of 1970. She earned her associates degree from OU-C. She worked for 25 years at Mead and Glatfelter Paper Companies. Debbie was a great home decorator and cook. She was a dedicated wife, mother and grandmother. Funeral services will be held at 7pm Monday, November 12, at the Haller Funeral Home. Private interment will be held at the convenience of the family. Friends may call Monday from 5-7pm at Haller Funeral Home. Memorial contributions, if desired, may be made to the charity of the donor's choice.
