Dean Walter Williams, 77, of Chillicothe, passed away on Thursday afternoon, May 30, 2024 at the SOMC Hospice Center in Portsmouth, Ohio.
He was born September 21, 1946, in Chillicothe, son of the late Doyle and Louise (Bower) Williams. In October 1981, he married his beloved wife, Theresa Ellen Williams, who preceded him in death on November 20, 2017.
Surviving are their children, Brandy Williams Chandler, Christopher (Vicki) Williams, and Jim (Debbie) Rhinehart; grandchildren, Dylan, Kayla, Nicholas, Lily, Joshua, and Zane; great-grandchildren, Aubrey, McKinley, and Oliver; his beloved K-9 companion, Heidi; as well as numerous other nieces, nephews, extended family members, and friends. In addition to his parents and beloved wife, he was preceded in death by his son, Shane Williams, daughter, Treva Willett, sister and brother-in-law, Carolyn (Dave) Grabb; and his brother, Kevin Williams.
Dean was well known in the Chillicothe area, having worked as the finance manager at McAllister Chevrolet, where he retired after more than 40 years of employment. He loved socializing with his family and friends, frequently spending time at the American Legion 757 or the VFW Post 108. He also enjoyed spending time outdoors with the ones he loved, taking four-wheeler rides, going hunting, floating the river, or searching for arrowheads to add to his Indian artifact collection. His family will forever remember his fun, loving demeanor, and will cherish the special memories they shared together.
A funeral service will be held at 1:00pm on Tuesday, June 4, 2024 at the Haller Funeral Home. Burial will follow in Grandview Cemetery. Friends are welcomed to join the family for visitation from 11:00am until the time of the service on Tuesday.
