David Rossiter

David N. Rossiter, 83, died at 8:09am October 9, 2017, at his residence following an extended illness.   He was born May 25, 1934, in Chillicothe, to the late Floyd and Martha (Michaels) Rossiter.   Surviving are his daughters Shelly Rossiter, Taresa (Robert) Fletcher, all of Chillicothe; son Daniel (Beverly) Rossiter, of Kingston; grandchildren: Uriah and Elijah Tatman, Charity Johnson and Laura Rossiter; great-grandchildren: Alexandrea Kwilos, Nicholas and Trinity Johnson, and Reuben Tatman; a sister Melanee (Bob) Tisdale; and a brother Roger Rossiter. He was predeceased by his lifelong friend Rosemary J. Massie Rossiter; brothers Gene, Wilber, Jim, and Roger; and a sister Florentine Rossiter.   David retired from DuPont Chemical, after 34 years of service, and was a Korean War Navy Veteran. He loved thoroughbred horse racing and Johnny Mathis music. David was a devoted father, grandfather and great-grandfather.   Military graveside services, conducted by the Ross Co. Veterans Honor Guard, will be conducted at 3:00pm Saturday, October 21, in Greenlawn Cemetery, Soldiers Square under the direction of Haller Funeral Home & Crematory.
