David Norman

David "Stumpy" E. Norman, 65, of Chillicothe, died 8:17 am, Wednesday, May 27, 2009, in his home, unexpectedly. He was born June 20, 1943 in Hallsville to Charles and Marie Brokaw Norman. On May 14, 1961 he married Nancy Cooper, who survives. Also surviving are two sons, Kevin (fiancé Lisa McGhee) Norman, of Waverly and Kelly (Cheryl) Norman, of Chillicothe; grandchildren, Kevin and Stacey Norman, Brian, Heather, Tashia and Courtenie Norman and Matt Hawk; great-grandchildren, Hunter, Jolai, and Kaylee Norman; brothers, Don (Marjo) Norman, Guy (Bonnie) Norman, and Lee (Janice) Norman; a sister, Carolyn (David) Sams,; brothers-in-law, David (Beverly) Weller and David (Sherrie) Tener, and Gary Cooper; several nieces; nephews; walking buddies and special friends, Jack and Jody Hoylman. David retired from Inland Products as a meat cutter. He enjoyed participating in car shows, and was a member of the Navy Petty Officers Club and Eagles Aerie 600. Funeral services will be held 1:00 pm Monday in the Haller Funeral Home, with Pastor Kenneth Blevins officiating. Burial will follow in Hallsville Cemetery. Friends may call 2-5 pm Sunday at Haller's.
