David Blain Finley, 82, of Chillicothe, died at 9:21am June 30, 2022, in Adena Regional Medical Center. He was born August 19, 1939, in Chillicothe to the late Clifton and Carey E. (Blain) Finley. On July 7, 2009, he married Peggy A. Grubbs, who survives. In addition to his wife, he is survived by his children: Terry and Roxanne Finley, of Chillicothe, David Finley and Dorothy Jones, of Jackson, and Trisha Finley, of Chillicothe; 5 grandchildren; 8 great-grandchildren; step-children Robert and Lori Starkey and Kelley Sue DePugh-Starkey; his sister Judy Young; and many nieces, nephews and friends, including his dear friend of nearly 70 years, Paul Russel. David was predeceased by his parents; his sisters Jean Hohl and Shirley Pigott; his niece Amy Young; and his nephew Mark Pigott. David worked as an electrician most of his life starting at Mays Electric at age 15. He had also worked for C & J Electric, Burroughs Electric and retired from Norment Industries. He has been a member of the Loyal Order of Moose since 1986. He was an avid NASCAR fan and even participated in the Richard Petty Driving Experience at Bristol Speedway. The family is honoring his wishes of cremation. They will receive friends Sunday, July 3, from 2-4pm at the Haller Funeral Home & Crematory.
