David Driggs

David M. Driggs, Sr., 63, of Columbus, formerly of Chillicothe, left to be with his heavenly Father at 10:40am August 22, 2008, in his home following an extended illness. Funeral services will be held at 1:00pm Tuesday in the Haller Funeral Home. Burial will follow in Hay Hollow Cemetery. Friends may call Tuesday from 11am until 1pm at Haller Funeral Home. David was born June 20, 1945, in Chillicothe to the late Brady and Nellie Mercer Driggs. He is survived by his sons David M. Driggs, Jr.; Joseph Hughes; Jason Hughes, all of Chillicothe; Anthony Baird, Frankfort; daughters Rama Blackburn; Lynna Mashelle Detty; Jennifer Ann Malone, all of Chillicothe; Catrina Driggs, Frankfort; 15 grandchildren; 2 great-grandsons; his significant other, Cynthia Curtis, Columbus; a brother Billy Joe Driggs; and sisters Mary F. Black and Jean Rayer. He was predeceased by sons John R. Driggs and Timothy A. Driggs; a sister Ruth Ann Heath; and brothers Robert and James Driggs, Sr. David was a former member of First Baptist Church. He worked as a contractor.
