David Hamilton Brown Sr.
On Thursday, November 15, 2018, David Hamilton Brown Sr., of Naoma, WV, passed away suddenly at the Chillicothe VA Medical Center.
He was born on July 22, 1949, in Drews Creek, WV, to the late Dallas and Bonnie "Hazel" Brown.
Left to honor and cherish his memory include his sons, David Hamilton Brown, Jr. and wife Lisa, of Strongsville, OH, and Brian Jarrell and fiancé Tina, of Naoma, WV; daughters, Lisa Kennedy and husband James, of Parma Heights, OH, Treasa Thomas and husband Ed, and Tammy Cruz, both of Parma, OH; brothers, Arthur "Jack" Bonds, of Arnett, WV, Melvin Brown and wife Cami, of Beckley, WV, Carl Brown and wife Mary, of Conway, SC, and Maxi Brown and wife Margie, of Beckley, WV; sisters, Delma Ruth Harless Blackburn, of Helen GA, Lelia Tolliver and husband Jackie, of Beckley, WV, and Patty Williams and husband Harvey, of Naoma, WV; nine grandchildren, and eight great-grandchildren. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by a sister-in-law, Betty Bonds.
David enlisted in the Army at the age of 17, where he proudly served his country for three years, and was a veteran of the Vietnam War, having served for two years. He loved the outdoors, was an avid hunter, and fisherman. He also enjoyed riding four wheelers and going to church, where he faithfully attended Delbert Baptist Church.
The family would like to thank everyone at the Chillicothe VA Medical Center for the special care they provided to him during this difficult time.
A memorial service will be held at 12:00pm on Saturday, November 24, 2018 at the Delbert Baptist Church, Drews Creek, WV, with Rev. Danny Gilfilen officiating. Singing will be provided by the Turner Family.
In lieu of flowers, donations can be made in David's honor to the Delbert Baptist Church, 118 Pleasant Acres Court, Naoma, WV 25140.
