Daryl Gene Fisher, Sr., 73, of Chillicothe, passed away Monday evening, November 13, 2017, at the Adena Regional Medical Center, following an extended illness. He was born on July 12, 1944, in Portsmouth, Ohio, to the late Oscar and Verva Marie (Osban) Fisher. Surviving are his four sons, Daryl G. (Mindy) Fisher, Jr., Brent J. (Michele) Fisher, Brett A. (Mia) Fisher, and David R. (his fiancé Sarah) Fisher, all of Chillicothe; his grandchildren, Davey (Jessy), Sarah Branham, Sam (Erik Stauffer), Dylan (Kailyn), Gabe, Gracie, Jocie, Laynie, Abby, Cloie, and Ally Fisher; his great-grandchildren, Shelby, Parker, Westen, Brooke, Hannah, and Addison; his siblings, Helen (Stan) Fisher-Mitchell, Johnny (Phyllis) Fisher, and Kathy (John) Toohey; a sister-in-law, Carolyn Fisher; as well as numerous nieces and nephews. In addition to his parents, Daryl was preceded in death by a brother, Paul Fisher. Daryl was a United States Air Force veteran, who honorably served during the Korean Conflict. He was a retired electrician, loved gardening, football, and Nascar. He was fondly known by his family as the Mayor of Windy Ridge. A funeral service will be held at 2:00pm on Friday, November 17, at the Pleasant Valley United Methodist Church, 98 E. Valley Drive, Chillicothe; with his son, Pastor Brett Fisher officiating. Military graveside services conducted by the Ross County Veterans Honor Guard will follow in Floral Hills Memory Gardens. A visitation will be held from 12:00pm on Friday until the time of the service.
