Darrell Neff

Darrell F. Neff, 87, of Ocala, FL, formerly of Chillicothe, died Friday, April 20, 2012, in Ocala. He was born December 2, 1924, in Chillicothe, to the late Jennings B. and Doris (O'Dell) Neff. On March 1, 1997, he married the former Sally L. Arcady, who preceded him in death on March 10, 2005. Surviving are his sisters and brother-in-law Lola Willis, of Chillicothe; Kay (Wayne) Kline, of Frankfort; several nieces, nephews, great-nieces and great-nephews, including a special niece, Vicki Delong, of Colleyville, TX. He was predeceased by brothers Vernon and Jennings Neff; and sisters Norma Jean Myers, Marcella Hardesty and Jane Orr. Darrell was a member of the VFW and Scioto Lodge #6 F & AM. He retired from the former Mead Paper Co. in 1980 and was a World War II Navy Veteran. Funeral services will be held at 1:00pm Friday at the Haller Funeral Home with Rev. Jack Norman officiating. Burial will follow in Greenlawn Cemetery. At his request, calling hours will not be observed. Memorial contributions may be made to Odyssey Hospice, 1320 SE 25th Loop, Suite 101, Ocala, FL 34471.
