Darlene Homer, 75, of Chillicothe, formerly of Lancaster, passed away Thursday, April 3, 2025 at home.
Darlene retired from AEP. She was a lover of shopping, cooking, travel having visited all 50 states and numerous countries, and above all her family. She had served former President of the Lioness Club and the Navy Wives' Club.
Left to honor her memory is the love of her life and husband of 57 years, Richard L. Homer whom she married February 24,1968. Also survived by her son Brian E. Homer of Mesa, Arizona; grandchildren: Brittanee (Sean) Kelly, Brandee (Lucas) Stemen, Christopher (Stevie) Homer, Bethanee Homer, and Adelynn Homer; great-grandchildren: Taj, Donovan, Elena, & Rowan Kelly, Raegan Stemen, and Eddie Homer; her sister Evelyn (Gene) Azbell; nephews: Dennis (Renee) & Phillip Call as well as multiple great-nieces and nephews; and many special friends including John, Louise, Barb, Betty and Karen Stout.
Darlene was preceded in death by her son Scott R. Homer; twin sister Scharlene Bowers; sister Patty Sheets; brothers Clifford and Marvin Miller; and numerous aunts, uncles, and cousins.
Her funeral service will be held at 2pm Tuesday, April 8, at the Haller Funeral Home & Crematory. The family will receive friends from Noon until 2pm Tuesday at the funeral home.
