Danny L. Henkle, 66, of Chillicothe, went to be with the Lord at 3:35am Monday, October 1, 2012, in Pickerington, OH, following a brief illness. He was born August 10, 1946, in Chillicothe, to the late Lawrence H. and Dorothy M. (Seymour) Henkle. Surviving are his four daughters and sons-in-law: Lori (Doug) Geisler, Dublin, OH; Wendi (Scott) Thompson, Ludlow Falls, OH; Heather (Bob) Henkle-Lloyd, Pickerington, OH; Kathryn Hope Henkle, Chillicothe; grandchildren: Emily, Jonathan and Jack Geisler; Corey Thompson; Savannah and Austin Lloyd; a brother and sister-in-law Larry (Sharon) Henkle, Chillicothe; and several nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by his parents and a brother Roger Henkle. Danny owned and operated Henk's Concrete. He attended Brookside Church where he actively volunteered to help. He served his country in the US Army and Army Reserves. Danny was a certified SCUBA diver, certified cave diver and enjoyed skydiving and bungee jumping. He was a member of the Skydiver Assoc. of America and the Green Co. Jump Club in Xenia. He had successfully completed his 1000th jump. Funeral services will be held at 2:00pm Saturday, October 6, at the Haller Funeral Home with Rev. Jack Norman officiating. Private burial will be held at Mt. Carmel Cemetery at the convenience of the family. Friends may call Saturday from 11am until 2pm at Haller Funeral Home. Memorial contributions may be made to Mt. Carmel Hospice, 1144 Dublin Rd., Columbus, OH 43215.
