Daniel Whitaker

Daniel (Danny) W. Whitaker, 66, of Chillicothe, passed away on Friday evening, February 16, 2024 at Adena Regional Medical Hospital, unexpectedly.
He was born September 15, 1957 in Salyersville, Kentucky, son of Arlene (Pigge) Whitaker (surviving).
Danny was preceded in death by his Uncle, Thomas (Tommy) Pigge. In addition to his mother, Danny is survived by his daughters, Mindy and Megan Whitaker; grandchildren, Madison Wellman and Caleb Byers; sister, Aleta Whitaker; niece, Samantha (Miller) Sturgeon; nephew, Charles Miller; Uncle, Jarvis Pigge; and Aunt, Sharon Pigge.
He had an unobtrusive soul and kept to himself most of the time. Danny was a member of the Fraternal Order of the Eagles, Aerie 600, VFW Post 108, and Loyal Order of Moose Lodge 1626, in Chillicothe. He enjoyed playing a game of pool and was a jack-of-all-trades. He enjoyed working on any type of engine, in his garage, while sipping on a cold Pabst Blue Ribbon.
In accordance with his wishes, there will be a celebration of life event. Date and location has yet to be determined. In lieu of flowers, the family requests, memorial contributions to be made to Haller's Funeral Home, for his cremation.
