Dana Drew Martin, 58, of Chillicothe, passed away suddenly on Friday, April 19, 2024 at the Adena Regional Medical Center.
He was born May 15, 1965, in Chillicothe, son of the late John P. and Sarah Karleen (Pleasant) Martin II. On March 8, 1996, he married the love of his life, Brenda K. (Miller) Martin, who survives.
Also surviving are his siblings, Jennifer (Pete) Walker, Mike (Mary) Martin, Joe (Vanessa) Martin, and Sara Karla Martin. He was uncle to numerous nieces and nephews; a beloved brother-in-law to Linda (George) Lockard, Betty (Gary) Parks, Jeanie (Dave) Vickers, Bill (Terry) Miller, Joy Mumford, Connie Fox, Steve (Jenny) Miller, and Bev (Kenny) Burton; a special sister-in-law, Gail Martin who was married to John Martin; a best friend, Bob Rose, who introduced Dana and Brenda to one another; and a special close friend to numerous others. In addition to his parents, his brother John Martin III, sister Janice Arthurs, he was preceded in death by his mother and father-in-law, whom he cherished, Arthur and Ruth Miller; his infant sister-in-law Christine Miller, and by his brothers-in-law, Phil Fox and Mark Mumford.
Dana was a graduate of Adena High School, class of 1984. Brenda and Dana met at First Church of God, Chillicothe Ohio. They were attendees of the High Street Church of Christ in Christian Union. He will be forever remembered as a loving and devoted husband, brother, and family man who took great pride in caring for those he loved. He was the longtime care giver to his sister Sara, whom he lovingly nicknamed "Brat". He enjoyed having family game nights, attending country music concerts, various local festivals, and travelling with his family. He worked 28 years at J.C. Direct Mail in Groveport, and 11 years at Walmart Distribution Center at Washington Court House.
A funeral service will be held at 1:30pm on Thursday, April 25, 2024 at the Haller Funeral Home with Pastor Bruce Viar officiating. Burial will follow in Greenlawn Cemetery. Friends may join the family for visitation from 12:00pm until the time of the service.
Memorial contributions in Dana's memory to First Capital Enterprises in Chillicothe would be appreciated by the family.
