Cynthia I. Mallory, 69, of Chillicothe, died 7:19 pm, Monday, November 26, 2018, at the Adena Regional Medical Center, following a brief illness.
She was born December 29, 1948 in Cuyahoga County, OH to the late Joseph and Virginia Terry Goins. Survivors include three daughters, Martina Usry, Marleeta Knight, and Marty Mallory, all of Chillicothe; eight grandchildren, Jere Thrower, Cynthia Usry, Marcus Washington (whom she raised), LaGenna and Maurice Knight, Lanisha Smith, and Rochelle and Myesha Mallory; 6 great-grandchildren, Jamarcus, Virginia, Jakenzie, Ceante, James III, and Hakeem; two brothers, Raymond "Toots" Cooper and Joseph "Andy" Goins; and a host of nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents and two brothers, Frank W. and Darvin E. Cooper.
Mrs. Mallory was an accountant for the US Navy. She loved shopping at thrift stores. She will be fondly remembered as a loving mother and grandmother, whose door was always open, and was willing to prepare a meal if you needed one.
Private funeral services will be held at the convenience of the family.
