Cynthia Ann Gavrill, 74, of Chillicothe, passed away Tuesday afternoon, May 11, 2021 at her home, following an extended illness.
She was born December 17, 1946, in Cleveland, Ohio, daughter of the late Robert and Monica (McAllister) Gavrill. She is survived by her only daughter, Tracy Ann (Dennis Tackett) Dalton, of Chillicothe; her sister, Pamela Gavrill, of Frederick, MD; nieces, Shelina (Travis) Pamenter, their children, Alexander & Zachory; Sara (Nate) Kelley, and their children, Isabella & Aaliyah; special cousins, Curt (Wendy) McAllister, Anne (Victor) Smith, and Pat (Susie) McAllister; her grand-dog, Sophie; as well as numerous other cousins, extended family members, and close friends.
Cynthia was employed with the Mead Paper Company in Chillicothe for many years before retiring. In her free time, she enjoyed volunteering her time locally at The Thrift Shop. She was known among her family and friends as a Master Crafter. In fact, if there was a craft out there, she certainly tried it. She also loved to travel, taking several adventures all over the world. Most recently in the last several years, she spent time exploring the East Coast with her daughter and sister.
The family would like to extend a special thank you to Adena Hospice for their excellent care and respect. Their commitment to Cynthia allowed her final wish to be granted by staying at home with her family by her side.
In accordance with her wishes, there will be no public calling hours or services. A Celebration of Life service will be held Sunday, June 27, 2021 at the Christopher Conference Center from 2:00pm-4:00pm, with the service beginning at 2:30pm.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions can be made in her honor to the Adena Hospice Group or to the Pancreatic Cancer Action Network : https://www.charitynavigator.org/index.cfm?bay=search.summary&orgid=7608
