Curtis Schmidt

Curtis Frederick Schmidt, 51, Chillicothe, died unexpectedly September 13, 2011. He was born July 1, 1960, to Charles F. and Diana L. (Walters) Schmidt, surviving. On November 4, 1995, he married Michele Renee Righter. In addition to his wife and parents, he is survived by his adoring children Alec and Linsey Schmidt, both of Chillicothe; his in-laws Bill and Jan Righter, Columbus; his sister Patricia (John) Wukie, Oak Harbor, OH; brother Scott (Leticia) Schmidt, Galena, OH; sister-in-law Billye (David) Townsend, Grove City, OH; nieces Taylor, Lexi and Tori Townsend; nephews Jesse, Jacob, Nathan and Wyatt Wukie; and many special friends. Curt was a graduate of Upper Arlington High School, Class of 1978. He then went to The Ohio State University where he played trombone in the marching band, TBDBITL, and graduated in 1983. Curt was an incredible husband, father, son, brother, uncle and friend. Funeral services will be held at 11:00am Monday, September 19, 2011, at the Lighthouse Baptist Church, 341 Clinton Rd., Chillicothe, with Pastor Ryan Bevins officiating. Burial will follow in Grandview Cemetery. Friends may call Sunday from 2-4pm and 6-8pm at HALLER FUNERAL HOME.
