Cory L. Cantrill, 24, of Chillicothe, died unexpectedly January 3, 2019, as a result of injuries sustained in an automobile accident. He was born March 12, 1994, in Chillicothe. He is survived by his mother and step-father Kellie Hamlin and Ty Hopkins; father and step-mother Shawn Cantrill and Teresa Mullins; brothers and sisters Clay (Raven) Cantrill, Cole Cantrill, Candace Cantrill and Nevaeh Hopkins; best grandparents ever Marcia and Troy Young; grandparents Thurman Cantrill and Connie Newman; great-grandma Pat Long; special aunts Melissa Tyler and Shelley Hamlin; uncles Jamie, Tracy and Josh Cantrill; cousins (more like brothers & sisters) Skyla, Travis, Kyle Gragg; and Shelby Tyler; many nieces and nephews that loved Cory very much; and the love of his life Nakiah Ann Steele and his baby girl Nellie Bug. He was preceded in death by great-grandfathers James Long and Bill Newman; and his cuz/brother Cameron Thomas. He was a graduate of Huntington High School, Class of 2012. Cory loved hanging out with family and being with his friends. Cory had a huge heart and was always willing to help. He was our protector, always watching out for his family and friends. Funeral services will be held at 2pm Tuesday, January 8, at the Haller Funeral Home & Crematory with Rev. Randy Rinehart officiating. Burial will follow in Huntington Memorial Cemetery.
