Cody Andrew King, 21, of Chillicothe, died as the result of a motor vehicle accident on March 14, 2012. He was born on January 17, 1991, the son of Jennifer King and Duane King. Cody was a graduate of Pickaway Ross Vocational School and Chillicothe High School. He loved to help elderly people and fulfilled that passion through his work at Life Ambulance Service. He was also an avid fan of the Paint Valley Jamboree and the First Capital Cloggers. He was pursuing training in firefighting and volunteered on the Springfield and Harrison Township Firefighter squad where he had many friends. Cody attended Valley Chapel Church for most of his life. Cody is survived by his mother, Jennifer, of Chillicothe; and his father, Duane, of Chillicothe; grandmothers, Ruth Lewis of Bainbridge; and Janet Johnson of Chillicothe; great aunts, Charlene (Ed) Boecher and Kay (Don) Vallery of Chillicothe; and Carlene (Joe) Clyburn of Bainbridge; three aunts, Susan (Charles) Lynch of Memphis, TN; Janet (Clark) Faulkner of Passaic, NJ; and Beth (Dave) Mitten of Chillicothe; two uncles, Steve (Chris) Lewis and Mark Lewis of Bainbridge; and cousins, Matthew (Blair) Lynch and Jennifer (Matt) Yawn of Memphis, TN; Dustin (Erin) Lewis of Greenfield; Ryan Lewis of Bainbridge; Andrea Faulkner of Alexandria, VA; Bruce Faulkner of Quincy, MA; Jaci (Scott) Raike of Albany, OH; Alex Lewis of Bainbridge; and Jeff and Jared Mitten of Chillicothe; Miles and Parker Yawn of Memphis, TN; Cade Raike of Albany, OH; and Dana Boecher (William Loucks), Evan and Elysia Sams, and Maggie Vallery of Chillicothe Cody was predeceased by his great-grandparents Howard and Louise Wolfe, his grandfather Dean Lewis, and cousin Joshua Lewis. Funeral services will be held at 10:00am Monday, March 19, at the Haller Funeral Home with Rev. Martin Baker officiating. Burial will follow in Greenlawn Cemetery. Friends may call Sunday from 5-8pm at Haller Funeral home. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the donor's volunteer fire department
