Clifford Imler

August 15, 1907 — December 27, 2005

C. Wayne Imler Clifford Wayne Imler, 98, of Chillicothe, went to be with the Lord on December 27, 2005, following an extended illness. He was born August 15, 1907 to Clifford and Addie Imler. His wife of 43 years, Jo Ellen Imler survives. Also surviving are his son, Dr. Gregory (Melinda) Imler and grandchildren, Amanda, Kathryn, and Marc, of LaJolla, CA; two granddaughters, Tammera (Mike) Magill, of Chillicothe, and Mellanie (Dr. Brian) Eddy, of Anderson, IN; great-grandchildren, Michelle Magill, Lauren (Brian) Stalter, Daniel, Andrea, and Kayla Eddy; sister Helen Sexton, of Chillicothe; brothers, Dan (Avonelle) Imler, of Chillicothe, Howard (Betty) Imler, of Montverde, FL; a brother-in-law, Herb Poling, of Wooster, OH and many nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his first wife, Alice Orihood Imler; his son Jack (Louise) Imler; four sisters and two brothers. Mr. Imler retired in 1972 as a service manager for Chillicothe Motor Express. He also served as a trustee on the building committee for the First United Methodist Church, as a deacon in Tabernacle Baptist Church, and was currently a member of Brookside Church. He enjoyed the fellowship of all the congregations he attended. He loved to garden and could fix the "unfixable." Wayne was loved by all who knew him. He had a special place in his heart for young people and children and loved being around them. He had a deep sense of discernment of life and was a man of integrity. His quick wit was always present in his speech. He loved his friends and family. He will live in their hearts forever. Funeral services will be held 1:00 pm Tuesday in the Haller Funeral Home, with Rev. David Dean and Rev. Jack Norman officiating. Burial will follow in Grandview Cemetery. Friends may call 5-8 pm Monday at Haller's. Memorial contributions may be made to Adena Hospice, 111 W. Water St., Chillicothe, OH 45601.
