Cleo Emanual McCorkle, 87, of Chillicothe, passed away on Sunday afternoon, February 11, 2024 at the Vineyards of Concord nursing facility, following an extended illness.
He was born July 18, 1936 in Chillicothe, Ohio, son of the late Earl and Virginia (Stratton) McCorkle. On June 28, 1961, he married his beloved wife, Donna Elaine (Cullum) McCorkle, and together they shared over 61 years of marriage before her passing on November 24, 2022.
Surviving are their children, Malayna (David) Chadwell, Corbitt (Jackie) McCorkle, and Michelle (Clifton) Frost; 8 beloved grandchildren, Scott Chadwell, Mark Chadwell, Kelly Chadwell, Kyle Frost, Ryan Frost, Dylan Frost, Sarah Menger, and Ashley McCorkle; 3 great-grandchildren, Asher Frost, Dustin Frost, and Austin Menger; and three siblings, Richard (Monica) McCorkle, Larry McCorkle, and Crystal Carter.
Cleo was a graduate of Southeastern High School, class of 1955. He went on to join the United States Navy, where he served honorably from 1955-1957.
In accordance with his wishes, there will be no public calling hours or services.
