Clarice J. Lamb Clarice J. Birkla Lamb, 80, of Chillicothe, died Tuesday, January 1, 2008, in the Ohio State University Hospitals, following a brief illness. At her request, her body was donated for medical science to the Ohio State University. A memorial service will be held 2:00 pm, March 22, 2008 at Orchard Hill United Church of Christ with Rev. Martha Kline officiating. She was born June 28, 1927 in Oriole, IN to Adam and Emma Kissling Birkla. On June 24, 1950 she married Buren William Lamb, who died December 2, 1980. Survivors include her children, Gail (John) Majcher, Cape Coral, FL, Joan (Lee) Stephens, of Waverly, OH, Carla (Ralph) Fuller, of Rincon, GA, Gary Lamb and Bryon Lamb, both of Chillicothe; 5 grandchildren, Bryla Doles, Kyla Stephens, Calee and Ross Fuller, Cherisa Lamb; 2 step-grandchildren, Kelly and Lee Stephens Jr.; 4 great-grandchildren, Tamyelle and Annlynn Rose Lamb, McKenzie and Alan James Doles Payton; 3 step-great-grandchildren, Lee III, Jacob and Tylor Stephens; a special niece, Glenda Poe, of Chillicothe and her 3 children, Travis and Michelle Poe, and Micah Hoffman and spouses; a sister, Lucy Lamb, of California; a special friend of the family, Robert Loblein; and a special friend, John Hixon. She was preceded in death by a grandchild, Meggan Rose Fuller; 3 sisters, Adele Purcell, Helen Lamb, and Mary Birkla; and 4 brothers, John, Charles, Elbert and James Birkla. Mrs. Lamb was a retired registered nurse. She was a member of the Orchard Hill United Church of Christ and dedicated over 20 years of service to the Union-Scioto Conservation Camp as a nurse. Memorial contributions may be made to the Orchard Hill United Church of Christ, 105 Courtland Dr., Chillicothe or the Union-Scioto Conservation Camp Buren and Clarice Lamb Fund, 1565 Egypt Pike, Chillicothe.
