Christine Bayless

Christine Bayless, 71, of Chillicothe, died 6:32pm, Tuesday, November 28, 2017, at her home, following an extended illness.   She was born August 12, 1946 in Chillicothe to the late Ralph L. "Pete" and Katherine Willis Brown. On April 9, 1966 she married Virgil L. Bayless, who survives. Also surviving are her son, Mason (Selisa) Bayless; two grandchildren, Tania and Davon Bayless; a sister, Dorothy (Doug) Jones; a brother, Kenneth Brown, all of Chillicothe; several nieces and nephews; and several close friends, including Carol and Bob Thompson, Rev. James and Irma Lewis, Diane Lynch and Barb Pettiford. She was preceded in death by five brothers and sisters, Ralph, Clifford, Elizabeth and Charlene Brown and Jackie Fyffe.   Mrs. Bayless retired from Sears after 23 years of service. She was a member of Zion Baptist Church, where she was a part of the Senior Choir and Joy Ministry. She also enjoyed fishing.   Funeral services will be held 1:00 pm Friday at the Zion Baptist Church, Rev. Dr. J. Troy Gray officiating. Burial will follow in Greenlawn Cemetery. Friends may call 11-1 Friday at the church. Memorial contributions may be made to Zion Baptist Church, 84 Clinton Rd., Chillicothe, OH 45601 in her honor.
