Chester Wayne Gilliland, 69, of Chillicothe, died June 21, 2020 at Riverside Methodist Hospital, Columbus, following an extended illness.
He was born January 4, 1951 in Wellston, OH to the late Chester and Fern Kearns Gilliland. On April 5, 2005 he married Joy Elaine Blanton Gilliland, who survives. Also surviving is a step-son, Rusty Penwell, of Chillicothe.
Chester was a US Army veteran and an extremely enthusiastic Ohio State University sports fan.
Following cremation, private services will be held at the convenience of the family. Memorial contributions may be made to Haller Funeral Home & Crematory to aid with final expenses.
